Biography
LUCA School of Arts
Carl Van Eyndhoven (°1959) was for many years head of Music & Drama research at LUCA School of Arts. He obtained his doctorate in 2012 on the performance practice of seventeenth-century carillon music.
Carillon
He is mainly heard in the carillon world as the city carillonneur of Tilburg and Mol and through concerts in France, the Netherlands, USA, Japan,.... From 2000 to 2012 he was chairman of the Flemish Carillon Association.
Chairman of various organizations
From 2007 to 2016, Van Eyndhoven was chairman of Koor&Stem. He is currently president of CEMPER (Centre for the Cultural Heritage of Music and Performing Arts in Flanders and Brussels) and the Béla Bartók Archives of Belgium. In 2017 he recorded the CD Django Bells in collaboration with the jazz manouche ensemble Minor Sing from Lyon.
Arranger
Van Eyndhoven wrote many choral arrangements for the then BRT1 in the 1990s. Even now he remains a handy arranger of colorful arrangements.
