Agimus tibi gratias
Tabs
The motet was an important genre in De Rores time. The texts, whether or not connected with the liturgy, were of very diverse origin: often from the Bible, with a preference for the Psalms (De Rore wrote e.g. In convertendo), or the Book of Job (Parce mihi, Domine, a reading from the Office of the Dead), Marian antiphons and also other prayer texts, such as this Agimus tibi gratias, a thanksgiving after communion.
