Ik zag Cecilia komen

As a composer, Chris Dubois mainly focusses on writing for organ, but there is also choral work. 

Dubois was a fellow student of Vic Nees and Raymond Schroyens and took courses in fugue with them at the Antwerp Conservatory. This year he wrote 2 arrangements for SATB a cappella from Ik zag Cecilia komen, one of which you can discover on Koorklank. They were created by the Geels Vocal Ensemble conducted by Eva Vermeren during their concert trip to Barcelona. Dubois alternates canonical bits between single voices with full 4 voices. A short piece with melodic lines and surprising harmony.
